Refundable Cash Deposits:
Key Deposit:
We require a R500.00 Key Deposit which is payable in CASH (ZAR) on arrival.
Damage Deposit:
For Large Groups and Events a Damage Deposit is required and will be discussed during the booking process.
Refunds are processed within 7 days of departure.
You will need to provide us with Banking Details.
Child Policy:
Children are welcome at Bosky Dell on Boulders Beach but we do request that they be considerate to other guests on our property.
A baby cot can be added to any of the rooms on request.
Children’s Rates:
Children under the age of 24 months and younger stay for free
Children 24 months and older stay at 100% of the adult rate
Minimum Stay:
While we do insist on a minimum stay of two nights, if your request for a one night stay is granted it will be subject to an extra charge of R250.00 per person.
Extra Guests:
Extra guests are charged the per person sharing rate.
Please note that not all of our cottages can accommodate extra guests.
Reservations, Payment and Cancellation Conditions:
Deposits and cancellation fees are calculated based on the full value of stay.
A 50% deposit will be required to secure a booking.
Once the deposit has been received, a written confirmation and invoice will be forwarded to you.
The balance of the booking value (50%) is to be paid on or before arrival.
Bosky Dell will retain the full deposit payment in the case of cancellations made within the 60 days prior to arrival.
Changes to reservations within the 60 period may incur penalties
a) Guest Numbers i.e. Fewer Guests, and
b) Reservation Dates i.e. Shorter Periods
“No Shows” will be charged for in full.
A full refund of deposit (minus 10% handling fee) will apply to bookings cancelled more than 60 days prior to arrival.
After check-in, no refunds will be offered for shortened stays.
We accept all major Credit Cards, Debit Cards, EFTs and cash as payment options.
Check In and Check Out:
Check-in time is from usually from 2pm on the arrival date, and check-out before 10am on the day of departure.
Should you require an early or late check in, please do let us know well in advance and we will try our best to accommodate you.
Late Check Out:
Until 15h00 – 50% of overnight rate
After 15h00 – 100% of overnight rate
Please make sure to keep us updated on ETA’s as we do not guarantee that someone will be here to welcome you if you arrive much later than arranged.

Are pets allowed?
Yes, Bosky Dell on Boulders Baech is a Pet Friendly establishment, HOWEVER…..
We have two Border Collies and a cat that live on the property. The dogs are well behaved and respond well to commands – these will be provided to you when you check-in.
The cat does her own thing and usually doesn’t interact with the guests all that much.
Please bear in mind that as we are a pet friendly venue, apart from the resident pets, there is also the possibility that we will have visiting pets so please take this into consideration when booking with us.
Should you want your pet/s (small – medium sized breed dogs only) to join you please make sure that you have discussed this with us within 24 hours of making this reservation.
FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN THE CANCELLATION OF YOUR RESERVATION WITHOUT REFUND.
Your pet/s will have to be well socialised (humans and other animals) and will not be allowed to roam freely (unsupervised).
They must be on a lead and accompanied by you at all times and may not be left alone in the cottage.
Pets are not allowed on the beds and furniture and it goes without saying that you will need to attend to any litter.
We require a refundable CASH DEPOSIT of R500.00 PER PET.
Any deviation from the above is only ever at the discretion of the owner.
Are visitors allowed?
Guests who would like to receive visitors need to make prior arrangements with the management.
Visitors that have not been announced will be asked to leave.
Visitors that stay over without permission will be charged twice the per person sharing rate.
What appliances are in the cottages?
Four of our five cottages are equipped with a basic, electric, 3 or 4 plate stove and oven except The Main House which has a 4 plate gas stove with an electric oven.
All cottages also have a fridge, a microwave, toaster and kettle in the kitchen/kitchenette.
In the main living areas there is also a fan, heater and a smart television with DSTV (Cable) and Netflix
Are linen and bath towels supplied?
Yes, good quality linen and towels are supplied and for longer stays these are changed after every 4th night.
Should you require more frequent linen and towel changes please do discuss with management as a drought tariff will be imposed.
PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT PROVIDE BEACH TOWELS.
Are the cottages serviced?
Yes, the cottages are serviced daily:
Bins are emptied, beds are made, bathrooms are cleaned and the cottage is swept throughout.
The above mentioned daily service does not include the washing of dishes.
Please do let us know in advance if you require the kitchen cleaning service and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Take note that the below service fees apply:
The Stables and The Coach House – R150 per kitchen.
The Cottage and The Annex – R200 per kitchen.
The Main House – R300 per kitchen.
For bigger groups that occupy all of our cottages and take their meals together in the Main House, the above cleaning fees will not apply.
Please discuss this fee with management during the booking process.
Where can we stock up with provisions?
There is a local store:
The Seven Penguins Convenience Store which is open from 07h00 until 23h00 most days. This is just a 10-minute walk or a few minutes’ drive.
There are also bigger stores and/or malls:
Simon’s Town:
Harbour Bay Mall – travelling distance is approximately 4.8km from Bosky Dell
Harbour Bay has over 35 stores ranging from upmarket eateries to premium convenience stores including Woolworths, Pick n Pay and Clicks, Cape Point Bakery, The Blue Door Coffee Cafe, The Blue Kiwi to name but a few…

Is there a laundry?
An independant laundry service is offered six days a week:
Washing is collected at 08h00 from the office and returned from 11h00 on the following day except on Sunday and public holidays.
Cost: R80 per load, washed, dried, folded.
Ironing can be arranged at an additional fee.
Are there restaurants close by?
Absolutely!
There are quite a few delightful restaurants in Simon’s Town which is just a few minutes’ drive or a 20 minute walk from Bosky Dell.
A little further along the main road, between Simon’s Town and Kalk Bay there are a few more restaurants that are worth considering…
Kalk Bay (15 minute’s by car) is THE FOOD CAPITAL of the Deep South and here you will be spoilt for choice!
Do you have Wi-Fi/Internet/Mobile Coverage?
Yes, we do have FREE, High Speed – Wireless – Uncapped Internet.
Please take note that The WiFi coverage does not extend to every corner of the property, you may need to move onto a patio or out of a bedroom and into the lounge area to get a good signal.
Unfortunately Mobile Coverage can be intermittent.
Do you have TV’s and Cable/DSTV?
Yes, we do.
All our units have 32″ Smart TV’s and The Hotel Essentials DSTV Package.
What is a "Braai"?
The word braai (pronounced “bry”, rhyming with the word “cry”; plural braais) is Afrikaans for “barbecue” and is a social custom in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. It originated with the Afrikaner people, but has since been adopted by South Africans of many ethnic backgrounds.
There is a proper built-in brick braai place in the semi-private garden of each cottage.
Braai grids are supplied, but please bring your own charcoal and firelighters.
Parking and Transport
There is parking space for 1 car per cottage with the exception of the Main House which can accommodate 2 cars.
Should you require transport while you are visiting – please do chat to us, as we can make all the necessary arrangements for you.
Airport Transfers
Airport Transfers and Day Tours can be arranged on request. Guests will need to settle with the drivers directly.
Photo Shoots & Wedding Venue Hire
Venue location: The Boulders, Simon’ Town, Western cape.
Venue description: Wedding ceremonies are held in the picturesque gardens with surrounding mountain and ocean views.
How close to beach? A stones throw from the iconic Boulders Beach.
Guest capacity: Max 100 guests. Excluding December – January, weekends and public holidays.
Price range: Available on request.
For weddings and events such as birthday parties or retreats, we require that all accommodation is booked out for a minimum of 3 nights
